The 10 x 13 Firenze Side Post Offset Umbrella features a unique combination of both wood and steel. The side post and arm are constructed with a marine-grade Iroko wood. This wood is tough dense and very durable. Iroko wood is medium to coarse in texture with an interlocking grain that often produces interesting patterns. The color varies from pale golden brown to dark chocolate brown. The Iroko wood used in this umbrella is individually selected to be suitable for use outdoors and has a protective finish to protect it from sun moisture and any kind of wood parasite. It is a stable wood resistant to compressions weights bending and hits thanks to its elasticity. The angle and sleeves of the pole are in steel that goes through an anti-rust process and has a fired epoxy powder coating in a light gray finish. The combination of the wood and steel gives this umbrella a sleek contemporary look.The free-standing base is constructed of heavy-duty steel and measures 45L x 22W inches. The base will need to be held in place by a minimum of six (6) 20 x 20-inch stones for a total weight of at least 300 pounds. You can purchase these stones at your local hardware or garden store. The base can also be bolted into place.The Dupont fabric canopy is a solution-dyed acrylic fabric that is breathable and goes through an anti-mold treatment. A techno-guard finishing is applied to the canopy resulting in a fade-resistant water- oil- and dirt-repelling fabric. Vents in the canopy provide air passages to allow for more stability in heavier winds.
