About PariconParicon is a family-owned and -operated business that began manufacturing sleds in 1861 in South Paris Maine. Henry Morton and his wife Lucilla began constructing and decorating sleds by hand in their home. The company grew throughout the early 1900s. What was then called Paris Manufacturing (the forerunner to Paricon) supplied the sledges for the Admiral Peary Expedition to the North Pole and a follow-up expedition by Donald MacMillan in 1914.
