The A-3 Skywarrior was the only strategic bomber built for the US Navy. For many years after its introduction it was the heaviest aircraft to ever be flown from an aircraft carrier. The Skywarrior could carry up to 12000 pounds of weaponry in the fuselage which in later marks was used for sensor and camera equipment or additional fuel tanks.
