Sol-X Gray This is a general-purpose lens tint that allows uniform absorption throughout the spectrum permitting colors to be seen exactly as they are with little contrast. The lens is photo chromic in glass and constant-density in polycarbonate with a subtle Silver Flash Mirror coating. Optimum performance is in medium-to-bright conditions. SOL-X polarized lenses haveHydrophobic coatings on lens front and back to shed water and make cleaning easier. Carefully calibrated layers of silver-flash mirror create an aesthetically pleasing appearance that dampens light transmission while an anti-reflective coating inside the lens eliminates bothersome sidelight reflections. Orcas sunglass models with glass lenses utilize a Photochromic Xtra Thin (PXT) wafer technology that extends versatility in changing conditions and reduces lens weight while the polycarbonate model offers an extremely lightweight full-protection polarized lens in a contemporary and stylish frame.
