Extra-heavy steel walls mean less bending and a safer experience. What's more the steel is thick enough to stand up to wintertime weather (including freezing temperatures and heavy snows) without losing its shape. The walls are supported by extra-wide 8-inch top rails and 6-inch wide supportive uprights. This durable skeleton holds up year after year. The steel walls are folded four times at each end providing eight layers of steel at the critical junctures. This results in unsurpassed strength where you want it most.Superior protection and superior designThe Estate features form-fitting resin top seat connectors which fit tightly to connect the hardware to the steel frame for a durable result and a stylish look. The walls are covered with a Texture-Kote protective finish which is applied using a patented process that means your pool won't rust chip peel or splinter. The Texture-Kote finish is applied to the steel core of the pool wall itself and includes layers of alkaline zinc bonderizing chromic rinse for corrosion protection and a final Protectoloc baked-on coating to cover the frame. There are two different types of filter systems available to choose from cartridge and sand systems.What's the difference?Cartridge Filter Systems catch smaller particles than sand systems giving you better water quality. Cartridge systems should be used in areas where you may experience a water restriction; the system doesn't require backwashing after use which takes up many gallons of water and may not be possible in areas under restriction. Cartridge filters are cleaned simply by soaking them in filter cleaner after use or even rinsing them with a hose. Cartridge filters are a more expensive option than sand filters and need replacing every season or two.Sand Filter Systems are easier to clean. The system is simply backwashed to flush away debris after each use. Sand being an inexpensive material makes these systems less expensive than cartridge systems and the sand only needs replacing every three to four seasons. A sand system when properly maintained will give you excellent water quality and simple easy use.Both systems include their version (cartridge or sand) of the Sta-Rite Filter System.
