The B-25 Mitchell bomber was flown by First Lieutenant Ted W. Lawson during the famous Doolittle Raid on April 18 1942. After a successful raid over Tokyo the Ruptured Duck crash landed off the Chinese shore injuring many of the crew. The nose art of the aircraft was salvaged by the Japanese who put it on display in Tokyo.This handcrafted nose art replica was re-created from descriptions of the art in Lt.
