The upper frame contains a high-tech electro magnet and the base contains a micro-processor and the electronic control components. The base computer controls the electronic magnets to ensure the globe maintains its mid-air position. When switched off a permanent magnet in the base keeps the globe secure. This eye catching globe makes a great gift office accessory or educational tool. This unit requires an active 110V/60HZ outlet to levitate.
