Celestron's new nine-piece accessory kit will help you get the most out of backyard astronomy.
Most telescopes come with one or two eyepieces to get you started. This kit takes it from there and will greatly improve the enjoyment of your new telescope by adding eyepieces color filters and an extremely handy 2X Barlow lens.
You'll want the 32mm Plossel eyepiece for low-power viewing of the Moon and nearby planets and the 12.5mm ocular will take you up close when you want to observe additional detail. The filters will enhance details on the planets bringing out Jupiter's belts and whorls in stark relief and helping you pick out surface features of Mars. You'll also be able to observe greater detail when viewing nearby nebulae.
The Barlow lens meanwhile will double the power of any eyepiece used with it. That makes it an inexpensive way to increase your eyepiece collection — to double it in fact instantly!
There's also a red LED flashlight to help indentify pieces and move around in the dark while preserving night-vision adaptation. And all this comes packed in a sturdy aluminum case.
