The pinnacle of Celestron's ED scopes the C100ED-R GT Refractor is packed with great features and excellent optics. The refractor-style 100ED (APO) features a two-inch rack-and-pinion focuser and a bracket that can adapt to a photo tripod. ED glass provides excellent color correction and razor-sharp images while virtually eliminating chromatic aberration usually seen during planetary and lunar viewing. CG-5 MountCelestron's CG-5 German Equatorial mount has precision worm gears on both axes for extremely smooth stability. The scope also comes with a heavy-duty tripod with larger and more substantial legs that offer excellent damping characteristics for more stable views. The CG-5 also has a convenient latitude scale for easier alignment and can accommodate an optional polar finder scope for the ultimate in precision alignments.
