The C11 CF Schmidt-Cassegrain optical tube is the same one that's used on Celestron's GPS-series telescopes. It's crafted of scratch-resistant carbon fiber that provides thermal expansion properties superior to those of aluminum. That helps to maintain the sharp focus needed for stunning CCD imagery. Optics are treated with Celestron's famous XLT coatings for superior light transmission.
