Cheetah GPS Mirror with Radar Detector Interface
The Cheetah GPS mirror is a driver safety system that warns you with voice alerts when you are approaching accident black spots speed cameras and red light camera intersections. This wide angle rear view mirror has a special anti-glare blue coating and is designed to provide a greater field of vision than factory mirrors. It really opens up blind spots. How does it work? The GPS mirror receives signals from the network of 24 satellites orbiting the earth. When you are approaching a location that is stored in the Trinity database the mirror provides spoken and audible warnings to advise you that you are approaching a hazard area or red light camera intersection. There are 4 buttons under the mirror that are used to program the unit for things like storing your own GPS locations. For example maybe you routinely drive through a dangerous intersection that you want to mark so that the mirror alerts you when you drive through it again. You can also set the mirror to warn you when you exceed speeds that you have programmed into the mirror. Your GPS mirror will come pre-loaded with U.S.A. camera locations in its memory but downloading the most current database is recommended every 60 days or so. Cable with USB port is included. The radar detector interface plugs into the radar detector and allows all detector alerts to appear in the GPS mirror. Interface technology includes:Fast Alert Suppression Technology (F.A.S.T.) - great for city driving. Program your Alert Speed (for example 35 m.p.h.) and any alerts that occur when you are driving under the programmed speed are automatically muted.Voice Alerts and Audio Tones - identify the band that is being detected and convey signal strengthBand Control - disable unwanted radar bandsCity Mute - GPS mirror only displays voice alerts for radar. Other alerts are muted.PC System RequirementsIBM PC or 100% compatibleMicrosoft Windows 98SE ME 2000 XPMicrosoft .NET 1.1 Framework (most newer PCs have this installed as standard software)GPS Mirror connects to PC in two places a USB port and a Serial RS-232 port.
