While the chair is designed for outdoor use we recommend you protect it from the elements when not in use to prolong the life of the cushion. Fabric is treated to resist mildew; however mildew is created by the presence of dirt and prolonged exposure to moisture. Regularly cleaning the cushions with mild detergent and water and allowing them to completely dry in open air and sunlight will doubly protect from mildew.
