It provides dependable support for any 7.5- or 9-inch umbrella as well as some 11-inch umbrellas (depending on wind conditions). This durable umbrella base is constructed from a cast aluminum shell around a cast iron center and is equipped with wheels on one side for easy mobility. The rust-resistant aluminum exterior is particularly well-suited for outdoor use and it's a great alternative to iron especially in humid environments.The patented dual-purpose 2-inch stem allows you to use this stand in free-standing or through-the-table shade applications. It can accommodate market umbrella poles measuring 1.5 to 2 inches in diameter. Extend the stem when supporting a free-standing patio umbrella and reduce the stem when positioning it under a table.
