The F4U Corsair was designed with one of the fastest engines in a fighter aircraft of its day. With speeds up to 400 mph and a maneuverability that met the challenge of the nimble Japanese Zeros the Corsair made its mark in the Pacific. The gull wing design was needed as the landing gear was extended due to the large prop and engine. This amazing aircraft is brought to life as master craftsmen create these replicas from kiln-dried mahogany.
