The crib features a four-level mattress spring system to lower the mattress as your increasingly agile infant becomes able to climb out of a shallower crib. When your child is ready for his first big bed convert this crib first to a toddler bed with a safety guard rail (included) then to a charming day bed and finally into the headboard and footboard of a full-size bed (rails are sold separately).
