The Exbury Garden Bench has a high backrest made of narrowly spaced connected slats. This hardwood outdoor bench is flat and stable and complements the contemporary style of the armrests and legs. This bench is crafted from a weather-resistant hardwood called Balau which is similar to teak. After construction this bench underwent a fine finishing process followed by an application of nitrocellulose lacquer and linseed oil to protect the wood. All hardware is made of rust-free corrosion-free brass-plated stainless steel for uncompromised strength and durability. The bench comes with a 25-year manufacturer's warranty to ensure that you and your family can enjoy the beauty and comfort this bench brings to your yard for years to come.
The beauty and benefits of Balau woodBalau is an extremely dense oil-rich tropical hardwood. From Southeast Asia Balau's strength and weather-resistance make it perfect for use in outdoor furniture. Balau is very similar to teak but is said to be denser stronger and more durable. It also has a warmer deep honey hue. This wood should be cleaned and treated annually to retain the natural wood color. If left to weather on its own Balau will fade to a grey patina.
