Constructed from a cast aluminum shell around a cast iron center this umbrella stand is strong heavy and durable. The rust-resistant aluminum exterior is particularly well-suited for outdoor use and it's a great alternative to iron especially in humid environments.

The patented dual-purpose stem allows you to use this stand in free-standing or through-the-table shade applications. Extend the stem when supporting a free-standing patio umbrella and reduce the stem when positioned under a table. When used with a table this 50-pound base will support 7.5- 9- and 11-foot umbrellas. In order to support a 7.5- or 9-foot free-standing umbrella this base will need a 30-pound add-on weight. The stand itself measures 20.9 inches in diameter which provides a wide and sturdy base to anchor your umbrella securely.
