Behold his Fokker Triplane dressed in trademark blood-red silk stretched over the hand-made wings and frame. Realistic accents of wood leather resin and brass are found throughout this model. Fokker is painted in script lettering on the engine housing and the propeller has an appealing wood finish. Not as fast or powerful as some this plane could out-maneuver any of its contemporaries. It was for this reason that only the most advanced pilots could fly it. The dual mounted guns on this handmade model timed the bullets to fire through the propeller movement.

Richothofen dubbed The Red Baron by the British pilots led the fearsome German squadron Jagdeskader No. 1. As the leader of what the press dubbed The Flying Circus he was at his most deadly during Bloody April of 1917 when he claimed 20 of his squadron's 89 victories. The Red Baron is considered the supreme Ace of Aces. When he was finally shot down by Canadian pilot Capt. Roy Brown the British honored Richthofen with an elaborate funeral and placed his body in state inside the British hangar.
