These pieces are part of DeBrekht's Derevo Collection which features limited editions of high-quality hand-painted art.

These ornaments are created using a very special wood-based resin material. Each piece is hand-poured from a hand-carved original and the duplicates are so finely detailed that even the woodcarver cannot distinguish them from the original. A small group of artists each trained in the Russian techniques of decoration and story painting has meticulously hand-painted each figurine to create an exact likeness of the original. This painting is done free-hand in three to nine layers of color resulting in a rich color palette reminiscent of the ones used in Russian art villages. Because of the strict attention to detail that goes into creating each of these figurines quantities are limited. Each edition takes two to three years to create.
