The Garden Wedding Birdbath by Burley Clay Products Company (top: 17Diam. x 2.75H inches pedestal 17.25H inches) features Pam Ballard floral-design carvings on its base that are lightly hand-tinted with a hand-rubbed finish. In Victorian times flowers communicated a variety of sentiments between couples that are captured by this piece. The clay top features the words: roses for love lavender for devotion ivy for friendship fern for sincerity daisies for kindness and rosemary for remembrance.

Each card is based on the theme of the birdbath it accompanies and includes a complete garden layout and plant list using the purchased pieces as a focal point. The birdbaths and larger products are made by the rarely used method of jiggering. It takes an artisan many years to learn how to do this and the knowledge is usually passed down through families.
