The Hellenic Rugs Maz 2000 Collection contains a wide array of contemporary styles ideal for your modern home. These luxurious rugs are crafted from 100% New Zealand worsted wool. They are hand-knotted in India using 9/25 quality Nepalese knots. Nepalese knotting originated from Tibetan knotting and is a process wherein a continuous length of yarn is wrapped over a rod which is laid across the rug while it is stretched over the loom. A knife is then slid along the rod which splits the wrapped yarn into two rows of pile tufts. The 9/25 quality grade indicates that there are approximately 56 knots per square inch. This durable finely crafted rug will last for generations.
