About HermleAlthough the business started in 1922 to produce clock parts Franz Hermle quickly expanded on his success in the 1930s by manufacturing complete clocks. Throughout their respectable history Hermle has continued to work toward perfecting the mechanical movement even while embracing the quartz movement as it became popular in the 1970s. Their knowledge and experience is renowned as many famous companies around the globe use Hermle movements in their own clock lines. Today Hermle's desirable clocks and movements are exported to over 100 countries.
Now in its third generation Franz Hermle and Sohn operates four manufacturing facilities in Germany and one location in the United States.
