Perfect for a formal living room the elegant body of the Howard Miller Le Francais Grandfather Clock makes an unforgettable first impression. Hues of antique gold enhance the carved detail and a Windsor Cherry finish brings the hardwood body to life. A removable shell overlay on the pediment matches additional overlays on either side lending a uniformed look that balances the elaborate design. A unique leaf-tip pattern circles the dial and seeded glass door which locks for security and the entire unit is elevated on a set of carved bun feet. The aged dial features dual-tone Arabic numerals of metallic gold and umber protected by a convex glass crystal cover while the antique brass pendulum and weights are illuminated from within by a light built into the case. This commanding cable-driven piece features a Westminster chime and Kieninger movement as well as an option to automatically silence the chimes at night. Adjustable levelers under all corners level the clock on uneven or carpeted floors.
