Mattresses should not exceed 6 inches thick including the mattress surface and foundation combined. Ensure mattress surface is at least 5 inches below upper edge of guardrails. We take your family's safety seriously. That's why all of our metal bunk beds come with metal slats which provide complete mattress support and secure the mattress within the bunk bed frame.
