la Pavoni Display Base-Fits all Lever Models and Lusso PL-16, part number EGH020, is a discontinued product from the 2007–2011 catalog. It was last listed at $179.00.
The la Pavoni Display Base is made from heavy-formed steel and is designed for use with all la Pavoni lever machines as well as the Lusso PL-16 machine. The machine fits inside the cut-out area on the base; the higher smaller area is designed to hold a grinder right alongside. This base is designed to hold your espresso machine and add a certain amount of height to it which is ideal for when you're steaming milk in an extra-large pitcher and need some extra clearance. It features a sliding knockbox with a wooden knockout dowel mounted inside; the box slides out from beneath and is designed for knocking your portafilter clean of used grounds. Once it's full it removes easily for emptying into the nearest trash can. If you prefer the knockbox can also be used as a storage drawer.
This base has a sleek black lacquer finish that resists chips and scratches and is mounted on rubber feet to prevent sliding. It measures 11.5W x 11.5D inches and stands about 3 inches tall; however there is an inset space for your espresso machine so the machine will only stand about 0.75 inches taller once it's placed on the base. The grinder base area measures 5.5W x 11.5D inches. Made in Italy this base weighs 12 pounds.
