The la Pavoni PA-JVD Jolly Grinder - Doser is ideal for use alongside a home or commercial espresso machine. Grind fresh beans and enjoy the delicious taste and aroma; there's nothing like freshly ground coffee whether you're making a latte or just a pot of regular drip. This machine features a bean storage hopper that holds half a pound of whole beans. Once the beans are ground they collect in the lower chamber which can be removed for easy emptying; the chamber is also fitted with a doser. Just pull the doser lever to release a set amount of grounds right into your portafilter or coffee brew basket.Inside the grinder high-quality elements are at work to bring you the best-tasting coffee you've ever had: a burr grinder made from tempered steel turns at a steady 1400 RPMs. The speed of a grinder is particularly important; grinders that turn too fast will clog and burn the beans which results in a loss of flavor. This grinder gives you consistent uniform results which is particularly important in brewing espresso. The flat mills have a diameter of nearly 2 inches.Set the grind selector to whatever setting you require; the coarseness of grind will depend on if you're making espresso drip coffee or perhaps Turkish coffee. The semi-automatic operation will take over; simply stop it when you have enough coffee ground. The hopper and chamber of this machine are made from poly-carbonate while the cover stripe is made from painted steel and the base from ABS plastic.
