Catalog description
M-404 Eastern Model Airplane, part number TAM148, is a discontinued product from the 2007–2011 catalog. It was last listed at $99.99.
This aircraft was the first turbojet powered airliner built in the United States and was dubbed the L-188 Electra. It first flew in commercial service in 1957 and remained in the skies until the mid 1970s. Almost every airline flew the Electra as they were only slightly inferior to a full jet aircraft and less costly to operate.
This magnificent replica is crafted from select mahogany and entirely hand painted in the Eastern Air color scheme. The smooth gloss and included display stand make this a high-quality model suitable for your home or office collection.
