Catalog description

Maui Jim Whaler Sunglasses, part number MAU001, is a discontinued product from the 2007–2011 catalog. It was last listed at $296.00, down from a high of $329.00.

The Maui Jim Whaler Sunglasses bring a classic rectangular shape to the lenses and a distinctly modern twist to the frame. These sunglasses are made from bendable Flexon memory metal that keeps its shape much longer than traditional metal frames. The temples of these sunglasses gently hug your head so the lenses stay aligned. No more stretching out of shape sliding down the nose or constant adjustment. These patented titanium-nickel alloy frames are designed to withstand the rigors of typical daily use.

The Whaler Sunglasses are available in your choice of frame and lens colors and feature polarized glass lenses and spring hinges. Please note that these glass lenses are not suitable for night driving or impact sports or for use as safety glasses. Our lenses meet or exceed FDA impact-resistance standards but are not shatterproof.

About Maui JimIn the early 1980s on the island of Maui a small group of people set up a business selling sunglasses to beach-goers. What these entrepreneurs quickly discovered was that the sunglasses in existence were no match for the brilliant Hawaiian sun so they decided to develop their own. Today the Maui Jim company owner of PolarizedPlus patented technology is one of the fastest-growing polarized-sunglass makers in the world.
