The McDermott Competitor Series Genesis EXC Pool Cue is designed for serious users. Both the forearm and sleeve are composed of hand-selected North American Hard Rock maple and then darkened with exclusive imported European organic-pigment stain. McDermott's stain is superior to the synthetic stains typically used throughout the industry with remarkably uniform saturation and consistency of color. The cue has been fortified with five coats of high-luster urethane to increase scratch-resistance dramatically. The design includes three exotic Central American cocobolo and West African zebrawood inlays. McDermott's exclusive Impact Control Ring made from a Polymer Matrix Composite developed by NASA maximizes feel.
