The Meade 8-24x Zoom eyepiece is part of the famous 4000 Series. Incorporating seven-element multi-coated optics these eyepieces are the gold standard in telescope oculars.
The Meade 8mm-24mm Zoom eyepiece is a great addition to any telescope. At the same time it offers the widest-possible field of view - 55 degrees at 8 mm - consistent with pinpoint edge-of-field sharpness and long eye relief. It also produces extremely low astigmatism spherical aberration and off-axis color. Incorporating seven-layer multi-coatings and edge-blackened optics for optimum image contrast it permits levels of optical performance generally impossible to achieve with eyepieces having fewer elements.
