The new Back Cell Adapter allows accessories that require a SCT thread to be attached to the ETX series of telescopes. Now you can attach focal reducers to the ETX and use it as a high quality astro-photographic instrument. Attach flip-mirrors off-axis guiders or any other accessory that would require a SCT thread.Here's how it worksThread the Back Cell Thread Adapter onto the photo port of Meade's ETX 90/105/125 AT or PE version Telescopes. Now you can attach a f/6.3 or a f/3.3 focal reducer to the telescope and any other Meade accessories that require a SCT thread. The f/6.3 and f/3.3 focal reducers provide a larger field of view and cuts down the exposure time for these long focal length telescopes.Here are the focal length conversions for using the focal reducers on the ETX series telescopesNote: In order to attach the Meade Deep Sky Imager to the Back Cell Thread Adapter the optional 1.25 eyepiece holder (part number 07182) is required.
