The Meyda Coca-Cola Stained Glass Window honors one of the most iconic symbols in America: Coca-Cola! This unique stained glass window is ideal for rec rooms and eclectic decors and is constructed using a painstaking copper-foil process for a traditional stained glass look. Shades of red green and white glass come together to form the Coca Cola logo which catches the light brilliantly when the sun shines through. This window measures 25W x 10H inches.
About the Copper-foil ProcessCopper-foil is based on the age-old method of construction used for stained glass windows. The original process involved the use of lead and has been modified for today's standards to use copper instead. In copper-foiling pre-cut pieces of glass are put together by wrapping their edges in copper adhesive tape. The copper-wrapped edges are then soldered in place by a skilled artisan. The final result creates what is known as the Tiffany look with thin strips of copper running between the seams of the glass. Over time the copper will patina naturally to a dark brown or black which emphasizes the design and brings out the details of the overall piece.
