This charming set recreates the age-old custom of children's Christmas pageants with stylized child-like figurines crafted from kiln-fired porcelain and hand-painted with exacting detail by talented artisans. Based on the designs of Sister Hummel these figurines feature heirloom-quality craftsmanship that is sure to delight your family for generations. This set comes complete with Mary Joseph and baby Jesus and also includes a straw manger stage base and creche.

To make these collectible pieces a sculptor carefully studies one of the original design drawings before creating a master mold. The porcelain figurine is cast from the mold then fired and glazed in multiple cycles before it is handed over to the painters. Each piece passes through as many as 700 separate hand operations and quality-control checks before it is released resulting in the highest possible level of quality.
