Made by hand in China this rug is constructed via a hooking method. This means that the artisans who create it work with a hand-held rug hook and a canvas. The canvas is stretched onto a frame and painted with the design of the rug. The artisans follow the design and fill in the appropriate colors of wool hooking each fiber through the canvas as they go. When completed a backing is attached to help hold the fibers in place while protecting your floor. The result is a rug that's as beautiful as it is durable.
