They fill in each tuft of the rug individually choosing the right colors to coincide with the pattern. Once all of the tufts are inserted a secondary backing is inserted and the top loops of the rug are sheared to create the final pile height. Hand-tufting creates a high-quality final product that is both durable and attractive.
