Made in China of 100 percent wool and featuring rich silk highlights our Tibet rugs are hand-tufted a process that requires a high level of skill. In hand-tufting craftsmen start with the backing of the rug which is printed with a transfer of the design. They fill in each tuft of the rug individually choosing the right colors to coincide with the pattern. Once all of the tufts are inserted a secondary backing is inserted and the top loops of the rug are sheared to create the final pile height.
