The Mosquito was originally designed as a bomber but later found itself performing a number of duties as a potent fighter aircraft. It was noted as one of the most versatile of any twin engine planes built between 1939 and 1945. Duties included reconnaissance day/night bomber mine layer and high speed military transport to name a few.
