Below the clock face there is a nest with two hatchlings and two parents. At the hour a carved cuckoo pokes out from above to announce the time and both parents move to feed the young birds. The wooden clock face is in the middle of a cross-hatch panel and features European-style Roman numerals and scrolled hands in white. This clock keeps accurate time with the German mechanics inside.
