This bed is constructed of beautiful solid kiln-dried wood - a blend of tropical mahogany mixed with white woods in a beautiful cherry finish. The slightly curved arch of the beveled headboard adds an elegant touch. The height of this bed from floor to the bottom of the rails is nine inches. The Newport Platform Bed comes with 14 hardwood slats bound in a roll that can be used in conjunction with a mattress only. No box spring required. Center support legs are included with the Queen and King for more support.
