Introducing the new Nikon Premier LX series binocular. Not just new - but improved!

The Premier LX binoculars have earned accolades from the world's top birders hunters and optical experts for their unmatched optical quality tactile ergonomics and extreme waterproof fogproof shockproof ruggedness. But there was always the heckler criticizing our 42mm models...at a hefty 34.5 ounces it's not exactly little old-lady friendly. Having a soft spot for grandmas Nikon took the comments seriously.

The New Premier LX SeriesFrom the moment you pick up the New Premier LX 42mm what you notice right away is its absence of weight - six and a half ounces - or 19% less than the original LX. (28.0 vs 34.5 ounces in the 8x42 / 27.8 vs. 34.5 ounces in the 10x42.) Nikon also reduced the weight of their already lightweight 32mm and compact LX models.

To trim weight we utilize a tough new magnesium alloy body - just as rugged as the previous aluminum alloy body.

And to further reduce heft we cloned the outstanding qualities of the LX lens system and rebuilt it out of Nikon's lead and arsenic free Eco Glass - a substantially lighter-weight alternative that is also much friendlier to the environment than typical leaded glass.

Enhanced ErgonomicsThe 2005 LX features a new vinyl chloride-free rubber armor which offers an improved tactile gripping surface.

New click-stop turn and slide eyecups with soft touch silicon rubber surfaces on 42mm and 32mm models provide improved versatility for users with and without eyeglasses. Simply select the position that offers the most comfortable view.

Unmatched Nikon ProtectionIn the unlikely event something goes wrong with a Nikon Premier LX binocular consumers have the reassurance of Nikon's 25 year Warranty. For the ultimate protection Nikon also offers its exclusive No-Fault Repair/Replacement Policy which covers repair or replacement of the binocular in case of mishaps and or breakage.
