Catalog description

Osaka Platform Bed, part number LAU360, is a discontinued product from the 2007–2011 catalog. It was last listed at $1759.99, down from a high of $2729.90.

Named for the Japanese city of gourmet food and endless shopping the Osaka Platform Bed redefines the term contemporary. Wide and bold the headboard features a unique double panel design with built-in neon lights. Because the bed frame and platform rest on a sturdy pedestal you'll find some room for storage under the edges of the bed. The slender built-in neon lights provide soft illumination while you read in bed or get out of bed in the dark. Available in your choice of sizes. No box spring required.

The Osaka Platform Bed is made from the highest-grade laminated sapelli veneer on the latest generation of composite materials. These materials including durable wood composite are environmentally friendly as they are comprised of recycled wood fibers discarded by timber companies. These materials have a more solid surface that will never buckle or crack when exposed to fluctuating seasonal humidity levels.

Using Italian finishing technology Laurier constructs their furniture pieces with a uniform durable finish. The multi-step finishing process begins with laying wood veneer over high-grade wood composite. Then the stain is applied followed by a sealer and a varnish layer. The varnish is protected against ultra-violet rays to prevent your furniture from fading or discoloring over time.
