The cap fits all Osterizer blenders except for the In2itive model. The bottom cap is threaded around the blade assembly and turned clockwise to tighten. It sits between the jar assembly and the blender base. The cap has a plastic screw that holds the blade to the bottom of the container/jar. A sealing ring between the bottom of the jar and the bottom cap prevents leakage of ingredients from the bottom of the jar. Further enhancing the aesthetics of the jar is the black finish of the cap.
