This classic chess set features the traditional Staunton style of chess pieces which have been a tournament standard since 1849. The hand-crafted chessmen are given a beautiful finish. The board is crafted of the finest tropical hardwood inlaid with alternate squares of lustrous pewter. Flip the board over and it becomes the cover for the box. The interior of the box is velvet-lined with cavities to hold each of the 32 chess pieces in the set. This handsome chess set is heirloom quality and will provide years of enjoyment.
