The Putnam Hitch Firehawk II Fifth Wheel Head is designed to convert the Firehawk II 23K Gooseneck Hitch into a fifth wheel hitch. This is a unique feature not offered by other manufacturers. The head fits over the gooseneck hitch ball using flexible polyurethane pillow blocks that surround the hitch ball which absorbs shock and allows the head to pivot on the hitch ball. If you frequently tow both gooseneck and fifth wheel trailers this is a great option to have. Simply drop the head over the hitch ball and secure with three safety pins that locks the unit in place.
