To prevent leaks and spills and make cleanup and filling easy a rubber stopper rests between the feeder and straw. Natural gravity ensures the straw is always full. Thanks to their distinctive shape and random coloring patterns no two feeders are alike! To make hummingbird nectar simply mix 1/4 cup of granulated sugar with 1 cup of water and stir briskly until the sugar is dissolved.
