The Siena Reclining Lounge Chairs let you enjoy the comfort of a recliner with the stability of a fixed armchair. A fixed base provides a firm foundation for the easy-to-use reclining mechanism allowing you to choose an angle that is comfortable. Crafted from sturdy shorea wood this armchair set is very similar to a teak one in terms of appearance and durability. Cushions are sold separately. Choose with or without matching ottomans.
About Shorea WoodShorea is possibly the best wood choice for outdoor furniture. Related to Burma teak this hardwood grows naturally and plentifully in the Pacific Rim countries making it considerably less expensive than teak. Because shorea contains an abundance of natural oils is dense heavy and hard it is highly resistant to rot bug infestation weather and marring.
Shorea is strong and weather-resistant enough to be left untreated. If left untreated each piece will weather to a nice shade of gray. The weathering process will change the color but the grain will still be smooth. There is no splitting or splintering. You may treat each piece of your set with Teak Oil to prolong weathering.
