About SeikoThe Seiko story begins in 1881 with a small clock shop in Tokyo Japan. Starting with just 10 employees Seiko products were hand-crafted until mass production techniques were implemented in 1914 to meet international demand. In 1938 over 1 million watches were made and distributed.
Over the course of the next century Seiko began introducing new technology into their products including self-winding mechanisms transistors and quartz. It is innovation and technology drive Seiko as evidenced by their 1984 introduction of the first wristwatch computer.
