The Grilamid TR90 frame is molded in a superior-fitting shape to allow for lasting comfort while the Carbonic TLT lenses provide optical perfection in both polarized and non-polarized options. Exquisite attention to detail Smith's trademark is also present in the Witness. It offers a molded Smith icon pattern on the inside of the frame and a intersection icon plaque on the outside of the temple. About Smith OpticsIn 1965 Smith Optics was founded by Dr. Bob Smith an orthodontist. Living in Sun Valley Idaho Dr. Smith developed a revolutionary pair of ski goggles by hand using dental tools foam and glue. Initially trading his creations for lift tickets their popularity caught on and he struck a deal to manufacture his goggles first created at his dining room table.
