Its offset construction removes the need for a center pole so it works for any environment. The sturdy frame is crafted with a powdercoated aluminum pole with an attractive and protective finish. The side pole houses the lifting mechanism for clean appearance and to cover the steel lift cable. Its eight-ribbed frame is secured to the post with strong high impact nylon hubs and joints designed to safely support the 8 ft. by 8 ft. canopy. Nylon will flex with wind stress instead of break like plastic. The Sorrento Plus Umbrella also includes a sturdy powder coated galvanized steel stand. Secure the stand with four 16 in. by 16 in. concrete blocks found at your local hardware or garden store. The fabric of this canopy is crafted from 100% solution-dyed SunDura to prevent fading. A protective coating is added to the fabric for better water resistance. This umbrella also has an upper tier wind vent made of the same fabric. The vent located at the top of the umbrella and colored white is designed to facilitate airflow and aid in wind stability. A great extra on the Sorrento is a low voltage lighting package that adds lovely atmosphere after dark.
