While this desk is the perfect place to store a laptop the pull-out center drawer is an excellent place to put the keyboard of a desktop computer. It seems to be unassuming until you notice that the piece is finished in exotic burnt-umber cherry from top to bottom. It seems complicated but those stylish tapered legs are easy to attach and detach if the desk needs to be moved. In other words perfection is in its simplicity. The desk is made of cherry/elm wood solids a combination of cherry and elm; and cherry veneers a thin layer of cherry attached to a stronger mixed piece of wood for strength and durability.
